Scientific progress have accustomed us that nothing is impossible and everything is plausible if we can explain it.

Well, if we consider the theory of thermodynamics about the entropic states of a universe (ours) according to which we might be, at some point, in a very improbable state of equilibrium and random fluctuations and the anthropic principle, according to which (simplifying) the universe exists as long as there are self-conscious observers observing it, the bizarre but entirely scientifically consistent Boltzmann theory of brains arises.

Riding on this beautiful paradox over an infinite improbability engine I think that if these brains exist they are made that way! We are observing the Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) an emission nebula in the Swan, generated by the powerful explosions of a Wolf-Rayet star.

You can appreciate its two shock waves generated by the interaction of ejected matter and the interstellar medium: the outer one mainly of ionized oxygen, and the inner violet one composed of hydrogen and oxygen.
